Today was Mexican Day in Sonas. We made sombreros, a pinata and Mexican flags. Lunch was beef tacos with re-fried beans and guacamole accompanied by a Sonas Mojito sweet lime and mint drink. We used parsley and mint from our herb patch for lunch. We had fun with the Tequila and Popocatepetl songs and 4th and 5th Classes joined us for a Mexican wave and the Mexican Beanbag song.
We started cooking, firstly smelling a range of Indian spices and then creating a delicious chicken coconut curry with basmati rice. Roll on next week!
Most plants survived the summer and after a bit of tidying we were looking good!
The peppermint had gone mad and had to be re-potted and strawberries are appearing at last.
