​Our Lady of Mercy N.S. has been a Health Promoting School since 2005.  We encourage healthy eating and active breaks throughout the day. Children learn about many aspects of health including food choices and food preparation, exercise, well-being, inclusion, hygiene, water safety and internet safety. Our Health Promotion Committee meets regularly to ensure we are maintaining our health promoting strategies throughout the school. In January 2019 we were awarded 1st place in the Cork Food Policy Council’s award for our dedication to Health Promotion.
