We wore blue to celebrate Autism Awareness Day in Our Lady of Mercy NS on Friday 23rd April 2021 as April is Autism Awareness Month.
In Room 12, we created a beautiful art display depicting a jigsaw. The jigsaw represents that everyone is different but we all fit together. We also decorated yummy cupcakes with beautiful blue icing. We had great fun with daffodils. We added different food colouring to water and we placed the daffodils in the coloured water. We used red, green and blue food colouring and we made purple food colouring out of red and blue. We left them by the window for the evening to see if the daffodils would change colours and they did!
We had great fun icing our gingerbread cookies and we really enjoyed eating them. They were delicious.
